The À TERRA Praia Verde is much more than a hotel restaurant: it’s a place of encounters and synergies.
Led by CHEF DAVID DOMINGUES, this is a kitchen where the food is made by fire: in the wood-fired oven, in the Josper, cooked in clay pots or iron. And, here, the products of the sea and the Ria Formosa come together with those of the barrocal, the transitional area that lies between the Algarve uplands and the sea.
At À TERRA we want you to try the best local products – coming directly from our vegetable garden, local producers with whom we work every day, or from the Vila Real de Santo António fish auction – and discover the gastronomic traditions of this unique region. A cuisine made of an explosion of aromas, textures and flavours, but also of stories and sensations: the stories of the Algarve tradition and its products - figs, oranges, the bitter taste of lemon, the aromatic herbs, olives, the local cheeses and sweets, the dry fruits, flower of salt, the Algarve meats and the fresh fish and seafood too.
We want you to find the genuine and rustic Algarve in every dish we make. But we also want you to open your palate to new culinary experiences - more expansive and modern - made with those same traditional products. Because we want you to really enjoy the flavours of the South.
